L’oeuvre au Noir

Exhibition at Musée Bourdelle, Paris (March-July 2017)

Black isn’t usually my favourite theme or colour for inspiration, but add Balenciaga’s genius and a bit of paillettes and I’m all in.

This exhibition presents Balenciaga’s work next to the sculptures of Antoine Bourdelle in a very clever way: showing how Cristobal Balenciaga was a sculptor himself in the way he created his silhouettes.

The exhibition also contains a beautiful set of accessories which compliments perfectly the garments and adds a more detailed touch to the exhibition.
